Sharksleep (a poem)

‘Sharksleep’

I have heard that sharks might die

Of suffocation when they still.

To no end do they wander or try

And anchor against the current’s will,

In search of places they may lie.

Lately,

When I settle down

For rest well-deserved,

I feel that I am drowning.

Am I a shark?
